I led design initiatives as the primary designer within the development team, aligning design strategy with business objectives. A major project involved redesigning a B2C native iOS app, turning it into a gamified experience that improved user interaction, retention, and satisfaction. I focused on optimizing the app for Apple’s ecosystem, ensuring smooth integration with iPhone features. I developed wireframe prototypes for user testing, iterating based on feedback. In Figma, I created high-fidelity mobile screens that delivered a visually compelling, modern iOS interface. I conducted comprehensive user testing sessions, refining design solutions to enhance the user experience. Additionally, I designed dynamic, captivating NFT sets weekly, using illustrations to engage users through prize giveaways and interactive campaigns, driving further app engagement.
As the Lead UX Designer at WMG, I led a team of 15 designers on the rebuild of new software—arguably one of the most complex interfaces I’ve ever been a part of. My role involved designing intricate user interfaces in a fast-paced environment, requiring rapid iterations, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. I worked closely with the lead architect and product managers to create software solutions for WMG and its music partners, enabling them to license tracks for various advertising purposes. Additionally, I collaborated diligently with the engineering team based in Ukraine to ensure seamless execution across all stages of development.
As the Principal Software Designer at Cleerly, I lead weekly conference calls with globally distributed project managers and engineers to review project progress and identify ways to improve team communication and efficiency. I also collaborate closely with the CEO and project managers to translate their vision into intuitive, user-centered designs. These designs feature advanced data visualizations, including complex tables, dynamic infographics, and interactive 3D heart models that provide detailed views of arteries and segments.
The software consists of two integrated platforms: Cleerly Labs and Cleerly Coronary.
Both platforms incorporate robust features such as advanced data visualizations, intricate infographics, user account systems, and interactive 3D heart renderings to display vasculature and plaque classifications. Together, these interfaces provide a powerful toolset for predicting and addressing clinical risks associated with heart disease.
I was drafted from California to join a small, elite team tasked with transforming Dave Morgan’s third company, Simulmedia, from an advertising firm into a cutting-edge AdTech company with robust software solutions. As the sole designer on a team of engineers and a product manager, I played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital transformation. When I arrived, there was no existing software; everything was built from the ground up.
I designed the UI/UX for the VAMOS platform, bringing digital advertising methodologies to audience targeting and measurement in linear television. This work supported Simulmedia as it navigated the programmatic TV advertising marketplace, ultimately establishing itself as an industry leader.
In a highly fast-paced environment, I delivered swift design iterations, including wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, to meet evolving business needs. I also developed a cohesive design language, named Pants, by forking Bootstrap. This style guide became the central repository for design standards and is actively used across at least seven different applications.
I designed websites, mobile applications, and supporting materials for a range of e-commerce platforms. Notably, I contributed to the creation of Dealsplus, a coupon and deals site that attracts over six million unique users each month.
I also developed ShopLately.com and its mobile e-commerce site, as well as the corresponding marketplace, which features over thirty merchants and thousands of products. Additionally, I played a key role in architecting Blackfriday.fm, a website that was ranked #1 for Black Friday 2012 on Google search.
My work extended to mobile, where I designed both mobile websites and native applications, including the Pocketly and Blackfriday.fm apps for iPhone and Android.
Helium Marketplace was my first startup experience, where I designed a platform connecting journalists writing niche titles with a community of writers providing content. I created detailed flowcharts and over 100 wireframes, later transforming them into polished Photoshop flats.
Collaborating with top-level managers, I contributed to shaping marketplace concepts to best serve both publishers and journalists. I conducted thorough research and brainstorming sessions to develop new products and features, including the Helium Content Source, which supplied high-quality content to major media organizations and e-commerce companies.
I graduated from Pratt Institute on the Dean’s List with a GPA of 3.65. During this time, my fine art practice underwent a significant transformation, evolving into the digital realm of design and setting the foundation for my future career. Sometimes, I miss college—mostly the part where pulling all-nighters was considered dedication, not poor time management.
